This morning, I woke up asking God how he’d have me move today—it’s my first official day off. Yesterday, I wrapped up a night shift and had a productive conversation with the president of my hospital about the new nonprofit God laid on my heart. His support was a reminder that God’s hand is in this journey, even providing connections I hadn’t asked for but hoped to receive. God’s timing is always impeccable.

As I transitioned from nights to days, I realized I felt less exhausted than usual—another reminder of God’s goodness. Today, I wanted my day to be led by him, so I asked, “God, what would you have me do?” I’ve gotten back into the habit of keeping my phone out of the bedroom, which helps me focus more on God. But let’s be honest: I’m not the best at being still. I even caught myself saying, “stop talking—let God speak to you!”

After unsuccessfully trying to quiet my mind, I sprung up from bed, resolving to move on and trusting that God could reach me wherever I went. As I moved about my day, a song would not let me go: “I am the Lord that healeth thee...” It kept echoing in my spirit until I realized God had a message for me to share. I struggled with fully accepting that God could use me in this way, but I prayed for him to grow my faith—not just in him, but in what he created me to do. So, I recorded a related video.

After a few attempts to send the video I recorded to my mom, I couldn’t help but feel it was meant for more than just her. I went back to my devotions, wanting to ensure my focus remained on God. The verse of the day was Psalm 34:18: “... and delivers those who are discouraged.” Almost immediately, my mom called for “doctor advice,” and I realized that God was aligning everything. It wasn’t just a coincidence—it was a divine connection.

I finally uploaded the video to YouTube, feeling a mix of nerves (cos you know... flesh) and conviction. I kept it unlisted, hoping for feedback from my family but knowing deep down that God was guiding me to share it more widely. After some back-and-forth with God (which looks like me wondering if it is God), I knew what I had to do—I made the video public. And God, as always, showed up with confirmation.

My brother’s response to the video was unexpected; he felt blessed by it and received confirmation through my process to also obey God in what he had been instructed to do. This gave me the additional push I needed to trust that this was all part of God’s plan. It’s not always easy, but I believe God uses even our small, uncertain steps to accomplish his bigger purpose.

If you’re reading this, I hope my story encourages you to trust God’s process in your own life, even when it’s messy and filled with doubts. God often gives us one step at a time, and it’s up to us to trust him with the rest.

May the Lord meet you right where you are, and may his love be ever apparent in your life.

Till next time!
